Abdulrahman Altashah - Short Bio

"My interest in Drilling engineering has greatly been influenced by my 7-year work experience in Kuwait Oil Company as a Supervisor Drilling and Workover Engineer. During my career, I have handled high deviated producer wells, injector/disposal wells and numerous workover operations including several tough fishing jobs. There comes a great sense of accomplishment after delivering such wells successfully. It is not surprising that some wells introduce unique issues, which require a series of educated assumptions based on evidence collected on surface such as: shape/size of formation cuttings, mud properties, recorded logs, pressure, weight, torque and drag readings. My research interests are in the following areas: wellbore stability, drilling fluid hydraulics and thermal stability of drilling fluids. Within each area, there lies a wealth of knowledge to be attained in order to tackle today’s greatest challenges with the most convenient and feasible set of solutions. With more expertise and research skills in Drilling, I trust that I will be better equipped to handle future hurdles in my career."
